Marie Claire's may edition has a great article about stopping moral policing in India.... which off late has increased a lot..... the main job of the police is to protect and serve and not to judge people and label them immoral....... our country is growing in a fast pace..... its about time we did too..... instead of making an issue over who's virgin and who's not..... who is kissed whom in public, its time that we get past these minor issues....... its about time we start seeing each other as earthlings instead of labeling each other based on their caste, sex our even country.....

the whole process is so simple but yet so complicated...... it takes ages to make a piece of fabric and a lot of effort too..... first they dye the yarn -

then there's winding , warping, combing, denting drafting and then the weaving begins.......

kerala......... gods own country????

was in Kerala for sometime now... beautiful place..... fully green and peaceful.......and wen i looked outa my window i felt like am on a tree house........ but the place is completely male dominated and honestly i didn't see a single lady out there....... and perverts follow.... all in all i felt claustrophobic....
me and a bunch of other people from college were sent there to help the local hand loom weavers (who use primitive looms and techniques, but their end fabric is fabulous) .... give them new designs and ideas so that their art doesn't go extinct...but as am a knitwear designer I have very basic knowledge about weaving so we came up with designs and the weavers did it with a lot of difficulty as we didn't understand each others language....
